What We Collect and Why

Each request has a clear purpose and a lawful basis under UK GDPR.

Contact details and enquiries

We collect your name, email address and phone number when you ask about a watch, restoration, repair or appointment. We use them to reply and arrange the next step.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request, or our legitimate interest in answering a genuine enquiry.
Watch and service details

Brand, model, serial number, condition and photographs help us assess a timepiece and keep an accurate repair or restoration record.

Lawful basis: performance of a service agreement, or steps taken before an agreement.
Appointments and consultations

We record preferred dates, appointment notes and relevant access details so a consultation at our Uttlesford workshop runs to time.

Lawful basis: taking steps at your request and performing the resulting service agreement.
Payments and watch sales

Payment information is handled through secure payment providers. We receive the transaction status and limited reference details needed for orders, refunds and accounting.

Lawful basis: performance of a contract and compliance with financial record-keeping duties.
Cookies and website use

Small website files may record preferences and basic usage information. They help us understand which pages are useful and improve the site. You can control non-essential cookies in your browser.

Lawful basis: consent for non-essential cookies, and legitimate interest for essential site operation.
